Laws § 4-9-9","heading":"Penalty for violations.","body":"(a) Any person, firm or corporation willfully and knowingly violating subsections 4-9-2(b) or 4-9-3(b) shall be subject to a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100).\n(b) Any person, firm or corporation willfully and knowingly violating § 4-9-8 is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250), or by imprisonment not exceeding six (6) months, or both for the first offense; and not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250), nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment not exceeding six (6) months, or both, for each subsequent offense.","path":["Title 4 Animals and Animal Husbandry","Chapter 9 Biological Products"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE4/4-9/4-9-9.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:18:06Z","sha256":"62461817128d7173438f192c3171aea74c7dc429798fb06b93eb1fc3528533de","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-4-9-8","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-4-9-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
