Laws § 40-14.1-3","heading":"Eligibility for services.","body":"Services available under this chapter may be provided to any person who meets the following criteria:\n(1) Has made application therefor to the director of the department of human services in a manner prescribed by the director;\n(2) Has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities;\n(3) Who is or would be enabled by assistive technology devices or services to increase, maintain, or improve a level of functioning in daily living and/or vocational functioning; and\n(4) Has not sufficient income or resources, including being available from other sources, to meet the cost of any or all of the services described in § 40-14.1-2, determination of the insufficiency to be made by the division of community services of the department of human services.","path":["Title 40 Human Services","Chapter 14.1 Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Program"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE40/40-14.1/40-14.1-3.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:59:29Z","sha256":"fade6b3276d1cb1d770b28886742671c53b8360539db2e9eba20389a614975a5","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-40-14.1-2","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-40-14.1-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
