[Contingent repeal — See notes following § 44-52-1.]","body":"(a) Any provider, subject to the provisions of this chapter, may file a claim for refund with the tax administrator at any time within two (2) years after the provider assessment has been paid. If the tax administrator shall determine that the provider assessment has been overpaid, he or she shall make a refund with interest from the date of overpayment.\n(b) Any provider whose claim for refund has been denied may, within thirty (30) days from the date of the mailing by the administrator of the notice of the decision, request a hearing and the administrator shall, as soon as practicable, set a time and place for the hearing and shall notify the provider.","path":["Title 44 Taxation","Chapter 52 Outpatient Health Care Facility Provider Assessment"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE44/44-52/44-52-7.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:00:37Z","sha256":"3bc8ebb12caf5238848bb4067e7ca7e30a9ee6ecfec2e8a431d1e003d3861a99","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-44-52-6","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-44-52-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
