All local regulations include, at a minimum, the elements listed below and as further described in this chapter:\n(1) Statement of enabling authority for land development and subdivision derived from § 45-23-25 et seq.;\n(2) Statement of the city or town enabling ordinance as specified in § 45-23-51;\n(3) Statement of purpose and consistency with the comprehensive plan, the zoning ordinance and other federal, state and local land use regulations;\n(4) Definitions;\n(5) General provisions;\n(6) Special provisions;\n(7) Procedures for review and approval of plats and plans;\n(8) Procedures for recording of plats and plans;\n(9) Procedures for guarantees of public improvements;\n(10) Procedures for waivers and modifications;\n(11) Procedures for enforcement and penalties;\n(12) Procedures for the adoption of the regulations and amendments;\n(13) Procedures for the administration of the regulations and amendments;\n(14) Procedures for appeals;\n(15) Design and public improvement standards for all districts within the municipality;\n(16) Construction specifications for improvement standards; and\n(17) Specification of all application documents and other documents to be submitted.","path":["Title 45 Towns and Cities","Chapter 23 Subdivision of Land"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE45/45-23/45-23-33.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:00:47Z","sha256":"e35cd2227a15054b6cede677872aca98b38ad05b6c42b78f4e1f6e6a7f45c83c","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-45-23-32","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-45-23-34"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
