Laws § 45-56-3","heading":"Powers regarding motor vehicle parking.","body":"In addition to the powers enumerated in § 45-56-2, the ordinance establishing the downtown center special services district may confer upon the district some or all of the following powers:\n(1) To construct, acquire, or obtain a lease-hold interest in a motor vehicle parking facility, within or without the district;\n(2) To operate a motor vehicle parking facility, within or without the district;\n(3) To lease or sublease to other parties motor vehicle parking facilities; and\n(4) To enter into, fund and perform agreements which reduce the cost of motor vehicle parking to residents of the district and to employees of, and those doing business with, businesses located within the district.","path":["Title 45 Towns and Cities","Chapter 56 Westerly Downtown Center Special Services District"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE45/45-56/45-56-3.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:00:58Z","sha256":"558220bd8a25299c86acfef68afcd5cf2e98154c1190caa6338883752d6072a3","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-45-56-2","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-45-56-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
