Laws § 46-12-18","heading":"Records of operation.","body":"The director may, by regulation, order, permit, or otherwise, require any person who discharges to the waters or who discharges to a publicly owned treatment works to:\n(1) Establish and maintain such records;\n(2) Make such reports;\n(3) Install, calibrate, use, and maintain such monitoring equipment or methods (including where appropriate, biological monitoring methods);\n(4) Sample such discharges (in accordance with such methods, at such locations, at such intervals, and in a manner as the director shall prescribe); and\n(5) Provide such other information relating to discharges into the waters or into a publicly owned treatment works as the director may reasonably require.","path":["Title 46 Waters and Navigation","Chapter 12 Water Pollution"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE46/46-12/46-12-18.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:01:04Z","sha256":"dbaa8f9a23fd66df153d4a097ff5e44194369991bc83f5cb2f9e7e26e1dacec7","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-46-12-17","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-46-12-19"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
