Laws § 46-22-7","heading":"Boat liveries.","body":"(a) The owner of a boat livery shall cause to be kept a record of the name and address of the person or persons hiring any vessel which is designed or permitted by him or her to be operated as a motorboat; the identification number thereof; and the departure date and time, and the expected time of return. The record shall be preserved for at least six (6) months.\n(b) Neither the owner of a boat livery nor his or her agent or employee shall permit any motorboat or any vessel designed or permitted by him or her to be operated as a motorboat to depart from his or her premises unless it shall have been provided, either by owner or renter, with the equipment required pursuant to § 46-22-5, and any rules and regulations made pursuant thereto.","path":["Title 46 Waters and Navigation","Chapter 22 Regulation of Boats"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE46/46-22/46-22-7.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:01:09Z","sha256":"79cf8e41dce5771b60822b8cce1d1c54853f05a4cbace0d0ea00de86d66ca844","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-46-22-6","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-46-22-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
