Laws § 5-19.1-7","heading":"Director of health — Powers and duties.","body":"The director shall:\n(1) Establish reasonable license and examination fees;\n(2) Be authorized to appoint an inspector or inspectors who shall be registered pharmacists, and any other necessary assistants who shall perform such duties as the director shall designate;\n(3) Issue, pursuant to any rules and regulations promulgated by the board and approved by the director, all licenses and registrations required by this chapter for duly qualified applicants;\n(4) Deny licenses and registrations, and revoke, suspend, or otherwise discipline licensees in accordance with the provisions of this chapter; and\n(5) Exercise all other powers, specifically conferred upon him or her by virtue of the provisions of this chapter or other applicable sections of the general laws of the state.","path":["Title 5 Businesses and Professions","Chapter 19.1 Pharmacies"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE5/5-19.1/5-19.1-7.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:19:19Z","sha256":"fbd7d433d5d15b2596838a27208e6d67c86364111831e90252eda3f5ceae18c0","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-19.1-6","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-19.1-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
