Laws § 5-38.5-10","heading":"Grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of licenses.","body":"The department may deny an application for license or suspend or revoke a license after it has been granted for any of the following reasons:\n(1) On proof of unfitness of the applicant to do business as a motor vehicle glass repair shop;\n(2) For any misstatement by the applicant in his, her, or its application for a license;\n(3) For any failure to comply with the provisions of this chapter or with any rule or regulation promulgated by the department;\n(4) For defrauding any customer;\n(5) For dismantling any motor vehicle glass without the written authorization of the motor vehicle owner;\n(6) For refusing to surrender any motor vehicle to its owner upon tender of payment of the proper charges for towing, storage, and work done on that motor vehicle;\n(7) For having indulged in any unconscionable practice relating to the business as a motor vehicle glass repair shop;\n(8) For willful failure to perform work as contracted for;\n(9) For failure to comply with the safety standards of the industry;\n(10) For the purchase of used vehicle parts from unlicensed entities; or\n(11) For failure to comply with the requirements of displaying of licenses or notices required by this chapter.","path":["Title 5 Businesses and Professions","Chapter 38.5 Motor Vehicle Glass Consumer Protection Act"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE5/5-38.5/5-38.5-10.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T15:29:14Z","sha256":"1ab80f493597465ab3372efabab8f61cd70f09f0709a83168492ffd5b509c175","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-38.5-9","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-38.5-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
