Laws § 5-48-12","heading":"Penalty for violations.","body":"(a) The board is granted the authority to impose the following disciplinary actions in those instances in which an applicant for a license or a licensee has been guilty of conduct that has endangered, or is likely to endanger, the health, welfare, or safety of the public:\n(1) Refuse to issue or renew a license.\n(2) Issue a letter of reprimand or concern.\n(3) Require restitution of fees.\n(4) Impose probationary conditions.\n(5) Suspend or revoke a license.\n(b) Any person found to be in violation of any provision of this chapter, upon conviction, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000).","path":["Title 5 Businesses and Professions","Chapter 48 Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE5/5-48/5-48-12.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T15:46:04Z","sha256":"12e1b660e539455454c7a870ccac732a5c9780da028e38043a61742a393dfcd2","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-48-11","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-48-13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
