Laws § 5-57-41","heading":"Penalties for violations.","body":"(a) Any person found guilty of violating any of the following provisions of this chapter shall be subject to a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisonment for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both:\n(1) Engaging in the alarm business without complying with § 5-57-14;\n(2) Failure to obtain an I.D. card as required by § 5-57-29;\n(3) Willful and knowing failure to file or maintain on file the surety bond as required by § 5-57-21;\n(4) Willful and knowing failure of an alarm business to notify its subscribers of revocation of its license as required by § 5-57-25(c); and\n(5) Willful and knowing failure to surrender a license certificate as required by § 5-57-27(b) or to surrender an I.D. card as required by § 5-57-34.\n(b) Any person found guilty of willfully and knowingly submitting false information of a material nature in any application for an alarm business license or for an I.D. card, or for renewal applications, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisonment for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both.","path":["Title 5 Businesses and Professions","Chapter 57 Burglar and Hold-Up Alarm Businesses"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE5/5-57/5-57-41.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T16:04:54Z","sha256":"afe70efeb43e85d4aacd10eaaf0327fa4e029c511556a1951087447164101cf4","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-57-40","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-5-57-42"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
