Laws § 6-11.2-11","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(a) Every person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.\n(b) If the value of the property involved in a transaction which is in violation of this chapter exceeds two hundred fifty dollars ($250), a person convicted of a violation shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or both.\n(c) The department of attorney general shall have the authority to suspend the license of any person required to be licensed under this chapter as a result of violations of this chapter regulations leading to penalties under this chapter.","path":["Title 6 Commercial Law — General Regulatory Provisions","Chapter 11.2 Purchase and Sale of Regulated Metals"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE6/6-11.2/6-11.2-11.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:01:34Z","sha256":"6e60f1edd29570daa408f3e07a22801dbf6f9e29cb545438e03131e1b472bffe","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-6-11.2-10","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-6-11.2-12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
