Laws § 6-11.2-8","heading":"Holding period for property acquired by licensee.","body":"(a) Every person licensed under this chapter shall keep, for a period of three (3) days, and shall immediately notify the police department of the following property purchased or received consisting of brass, bronze, copper, cast iron, stainless steel, and/or wrought iron:\n(1) Statues and sculptures;\n(2) Weathervanes;\n(3) Downspouts;\n(4) Handrails;\n(5) Decorative fencing;\n(6) Grave markers, sculptures, plaques and vases, the appearance of which suggest that the articles have been obtained from a cemetery; and\n(7) Beer kegs.\n(b) During said holding period, property shall be kept separate and distinct and shall not be disfigured or treated in any manner to alter or destroy its identity.","path":["Title 6 Commercial Law — General Regulatory Provisions","Chapter 11.2 Purchase and Sale of Regulated Metals"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE6/6-11.2/6-11.2-8.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:01:19Z","sha256":"a2294feb7b6cb36b0c3667493ff686f4adea1f8036ced3632de7e37dcf3766e1","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-6-11.2-7","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-6-11.2-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
