Laws § 6-16-7","heading":"Remedies of creditor.","body":"(a) In an action for relief against a transfer or obligation under this chapter, a creditor, subject to the limitations in § 6-16-8, may obtain:\n(1) Avoidance of the transfer or obligation to the extent necessary to satisfy the creditor’s claim;\n(2) An attachment or other provisional remedy against the asset transferred or other property of the transferee available under applicable law; and\n(3) Subject to applicable principles of equity and in accordance with applicable rules of civil procedure:\n(i) An injunction against further disposition by the debtor or a transferee, or both, of the asset transferred or of other property;\n(ii) Appointment of a receiver to take charge of the asset transferred or of other property of the transferee; or\n(iii) Any other relief the circumstances may require.\n(b) If a creditor has obtained a judgment on a claim against the debtor, the creditor, if the court so orders, may levy execution on the asset transferred or its proceeds.","path":["Title 6 Commercial Law — General Regulatory Provisions","Chapter 16 Uniform Voidable Transactions Act"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE6/6-16/6-16-7.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:10:44Z","sha256":"b40e0bea88fdc1e15778366dc0b3445e7309d43bcb164d66aa1067dd1ecc07bb","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-6-16-6","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-6-16-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
