Laws § 7-12.1-112","heading":"Signing and filing pursuant to judicial order.","body":"(a) If a person required by this chapter to sign a record or deliver a record to the secretary of state for filing under this chapter does not do so, any other person that is aggrieved may petition the superior court to order:\n(1) The person to sign the record;\n(2) The person to deliver the record to the secretary of state for filing; or\n(3) The secretary of state to file the record unsigned.\n(b) If a petitioner under subsection (a) of this section is not the partnership or foreign limited liability partnership to which the record pertains, the petitioner shall make the partnership or foreign partnership a party to the action.\n(c) A record filed under subsection (a)(3) of this section is effective without being signed.","path":["Title 7 Corporations, Associations, and Partnerships","Chapter 12.1 Uniform Partnership Act","Article 1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE7/7-12.1/7-1/7-12.1-112.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:31:09Z","sha256":"c663d5632d76334336fd7d7013a65da68744115e76f5e25da6c292e7a34025ac","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-7-12.1-111","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-7-12.1-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
