Code Ann. § 11-5-210","heading":"Licensing fees and other income of Professional and Occupational Licensing Agencies.","body":"(A) Except for the provisions of Sections 27-32-200, et seq., relating to the Vacation Time Sharing Recovery Fund, all revenues and income from licenses, examination fees, sale of commodities and services, and income derived from any other board or commission source or activity of the following boards and commissions for which General Fund appropriations are made in all general appropriations acts must be remitted to the State Treasurer as collected when practicable, but at least once each week and must be credited to the General Fund of the State:\nSouth Carolina Board of Accountancy\nState Board of Architectural Examiners\nSouth Carolina Auctioneers' Commission\nState Board of Barber Examiners\nState Cemetery Board\nSouth Carolina Board of Chiropractic Examiners\nState Licensing Board for Contractors\nState Board of Cosmetology\nSouth Carolina State Board of Dentistry\nState Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors\nSouth Carolina Board of Certification of Environmental Systems Operators\nState Board of Registration for Foresters\nSouth Carolina State Board of Funeral Services\nState Board of Registration for Geologists\nState Board of Landscape Architectural Examiners\nState Board of Medical Examiners\nState Board of Nursing for South Carolina\nState Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators and Community\nResidential Care Facility Administrators\nSouth Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy\nSouth Carolina Board of Examiners in Opticianry\nSouth Carolina Board of Examiners in Optometry\nBoard of Pharmacy\nState Board of Physical Therapy Examiners\nBoard of Podiatry Examiners\nState Board of Examiners for Professional Counselors, Associate Counselors, and Marital and Family Therapists\nState Board of Examiners in Psychology\nReal Estate Commission of South Carolina\nSouth Carolina Residential Home Builders Commission\nSouth Carolina State Board of Examiners for Registered Sanitarians\nState Board of Social Work Examiners\nState Board of Registration for Professional Soil Classifiers\nState Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology\nSouth Carolina State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.\n(B) The agencies listed in this section whose revenue and income are collected on a two-year basis, for the purposes of this provision, may average their income for the appropriate fiscal years.\n(C) All assessments, fees, and licenses must be levied in an amount sufficient to at least equal the amount appropriated annually in the general appropriations act for those boards and commissions.\n(D) The boards and commissions listed in subsection (A) are known as Professional and Occupational Licensing Agencies (POLA).","path":["Title 11 - PUBLIC FINANCE","CHAPTER 5 State Treasurer","ARTICLE 1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t11c005.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T06:31:24Z","sha256":"0399b153c873d4470b4d157c5eb7540a942756b638bed97b8acdab56fb55f723","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-11-5-200","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-11-5-220"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
