Code Ann. § 12-24-90","heading":"Fee calculation.","body":"(A) The fee imposed by this chapter is composed of two fees as follows:\n(1) a state fee equal to one dollar thirty cents for each five hundred dollars, or fractional part of five hundred dollars, of the realty's value; and\n(2) a county fee equal to fifty-five cents for each five hundred dollars, or fractional part of five hundred dollars, of the realty's value.\n(B) The state fee must be credited as follows:\n(1) ten cents of each one dollar thirty cents into the Heritage Land Trust Fund;\n(2) twenty cents of each one dollar thirty cents into the South Carolina Housing Trust Fund; and\n(3) one dollar of each one dollar thirty cents into the general fund of the State.\n(C) The county fee must be credited to the general fund of the county.","path":["Title 12 - TAXATION","CHAPTER 24 Deed Recording Fee"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t12c024.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T06:35:54Z","sha256":"89af31af51354f4999623e29ab172ea2f3997070dabc39cc9da4f93e991d1701","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-12-24-80","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-12-24-95"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
