Code Ann. § 31-5-20","heading":"Definitions.","body":"The following terms, whenever used or referred to in this chapter shall have the following respective meanings, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context:\n(1) \"Housing authority\" shall mean any housing authority created pursuant to the Housing Authorities Law;\n(2) \"Housing project\" shall mean any work or undertaking of a housing authority pursuant to the Housing Authorities Law or any similar work or undertaking of the Federal Government;\n(3) \"State public body\" shall mean any city, town, county, municipal corporation, commission, district, authority or other subdivision or public body of the State;\n(4) \"Governing body\" shall mean the council, board or other body having charge of the fiscal affairs of the State public body;\n(5) \"Federal Government\" shall include the United States, the United States housing authority and any other agency or instrumentality, corporate or otherwise, of the United States of America.","path":["Title 31 - HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT","CHAPTER 5 Housing Co-operation Law"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t31c005.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:00:09Z","sha256":"810d28d04ac2845e1725e975d0d082a5cd3632c5dafbd93cae9dfa2c3f0b84aa","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-31-5-10","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-31-5-30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
