Code Ann. § 35-11-730","heading":"Unlicensed persons.","body":"(A) If the Commissioner has reason to believe that a person engaged or is about to engage in an act or practice constituting a violation of this chapter or a regulation or order issued pursuant to this chapter, the Commissioner may summarily issue an order to cease and desist pursuant to Section 35-11-710.\n(B) The Commissioner may apply to the Richland County Court of Common Pleas to:\n(1) temporarily or permanently enjoin an act or practice that violates this chapter or a regulation or order issued pursuant to this chapter; or\n(2) enforce compliance with this chapter or a regulation or order issued or pursuant to this chapter.\n(C) A person that is served with an order to cease and desist for violating Section 35-11-200 or 35-11-300 may petition the Richland County Court of Common Pleas for a judicial order setting aside, limiting, or suspending the enforcement, operation, or effectiveness of the order pending the completion of an administrative proceeding pursuant to Section 35-11-710.","path":["Title 35 - SECURITIES","CHAPTER 11 South Carolina Uniform Money Services Act","ARTICLE 7 Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t35c011.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:07:49Z","sha256":"50516db9c9f92dea2ee364acbf2baa25461bb5bafb3f2146070a1f0519c29130","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-35-11-725","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-35-11-735"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
