Code Ann. § 39-9-130","heading":"Standard cord-equivalent weights for pulpwood.","body":"(A) Pulpwood sold in South Carolina by weight must be based on the following weights as standard cord equivalents:\n(1) hardwood:\n(a) soft hardwoods: 5,450 pounds;\n(b) hard hardwoods: 6,200 pounds;\n(c) mixed hardwoods: 5,800 pounds;\n(2) pine: all counties: 5,350 pounds.\n(B) For purposes of this section hard hardwoods include oaks, hickorys, pecans, persimmon, ironwood, locusts, holly, dogwood, chinaberrys, and cherry.
