Code Ann. § 40-13-360","heading":"Exemptions from chapter.","body":"The following are exempt from this chapter while engaged in the proper discharge of their professional duties:\n(1) a manufacturer's representative or sales person who demonstrates a product or technique for a promotional purpose;\n(2) an educational activity conducted in connection with a monthly, annual, or other special program from which the general public is excluded, provided this exemption applies only to the specific days of the special program;\n(3) a demonstration conducted by a manufacturer or a wholesaler for the purpose of exhibiting the technical application and use of a product; and\n(4) an unlicensed person employed in a cosmetology salon whose duties are expressly confined to shampooing hair under the direct supervision of a cosmetologist.","path":["Title 40 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 13 Cosmetology and Cosmetologists"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t40c013.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:20:44Z","sha256":"f7a23bd1e0f3784f60b4a21af43e6e2d51bd2389c8247ad8696be3d0ea87d7ff","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-13-355","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-13-370"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
