Code Ann. § 40-22-120","heading":"Civil fines and other penalties.","body":"(A) If a majority of the board sustains the charges against the offending party, the board may levy a civil fine, as well as reprimand, suspend, refuse licensure, require requalification, or revoke the certificate of registration, as appropriate.\n(B) The board may require the offending party to pay a fine of not more than one thousand dollars to the board for each violation of a provision of this chapter or a regulation promulgated by the board; however, the total of the fines imposed for these violations may not exceed twenty thousand dollars.\n(C) A final order of the board disciplining a licensee under this chapter is public information in accordance with Section 40-1-120(C).","path":["Title 40 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 22 Engineers and Surveyors"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t40c022.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:21:14Z","sha256":"60fe84d9fd43e41cb87f0e2055e54072e92e48ebdb8dbfe1eab994be23ab0b11","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-22-115","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-22-130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
