Code Ann. § 40-30-250","heading":"Discipline.","body":"(A) Upon a determination by the board that one or more of the grounds for discipline exists, in addition to sanctions provided in Section 40-1-120, the board may:\n(1) issue a nondisciplinary letter of caution;\n(2) issue a private reprimand;\n(3) issue a public reprimand;\n(4) impose a fine not to exceed five thousand dollars per violation;\n(5) place the licensee on probation, restrict the license, or suspend the license for a definite or indefinite time and prescribe conditions to be met during probation, restriction, or suspension, respectively including, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of additional education of a supervisory period or of continuing education programs as may be specified; or\n(6) temporarily or permanently revoke the license.\n(B) A decision by the board to discipline a licensee as authorized pursuant to this section must be made by a majority vote of a quorum of the entire membership of the board, reduced by any vacancies existing at the time.\n(C) Except for a private reprimand, a final order of the board pursuant to this section is public information.","path":["Title 40 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 30 Massage Therapy Practice"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t40c030.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:21:54Z","sha256":"c82e91bf5d8ee46803e6e769804aa9b6cd8456ec0d80c43459e69dc908ce9d54","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-30-240","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-30-260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
