Code Ann. § 40-47-780","heading":"Renewal of licenses.","body":"(A) An acupuncture license issued under this article must be renewed biennially if the person holding the license:\n(1) submits a completed license renewal application as prescribed by the board;\n(2) submits the applicable fees provided for in Section 40-47-800;\n(3) is not in violation of this article at the time of application for renewal;\n(4) fulfills requirements for continuing education and professional development, as prescribed by the board in regulation;\n(5) remains actively certified by the NCCAOM.\n(B) An auricular therapist or auricular detoxification specialist license issued under this article must be renewed biennially if the person holding the license:\n(1) submits a completed license renewal application prescribed by the board;\n(2) submits the applicable fees provided for in Section 40-47-800;\n(3) is not in violation of this article or any regulation promulgated under this article at the time of application for renewal;\n(4) fulfills requirements for continuing education and professional development as prescribed by the board in regulation;\n(5) remains active in the practice of auricular therapy or auricular detoxification.","path":["Title 40 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 47 Physicians and Miscellaneous Health Care Professionals","ARTICLE 6 Acupuncture Act of South Carolina"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t40c047.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:22:54Z","sha256":"616dc61475dc8289fc80aa434f3cf44ddb0f9106e3552d17f32709267f38ccd0","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-47-775","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-47-785"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
