Code Ann. § 40-7-250","heading":"Renewal of master haircare specialist license; reinstatement of certificate of registration for registered barbers and registered apprentices.","body":"(A) A person who is licensed as a master haircare specialist on May 13, 1986, may have this license renewed annually upon payment of the required license fee.\n(B) A registered barber or a registered apprentice whose certificate of registration has expired may have the certificate reinstated immediately upon payment of the required reinstatement fee. A registered barber who does not engage in the practice of barbering for three years or less may renew the certificate of registration upon payment of a reinstatement fee. If more than three years have elapsed, the person must pass an examination and pay the reinstatement fee.\n(C) A registered apprentice who has submitted proof of the apprenticeship for the purpose of becoming licensed as a registered barber must take the examination before the next July first and the apprentice license may not be renewed.","path":["Title 40 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 7 Barbers and Barbering"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t40c007.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:20:19Z","sha256":"d92defebb6c40b8c135fc21781ca2e27cff8206c878507f7eb58c8d998a7793e","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-7-240","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-7-255"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
