Code Ann. § 40-79-70","heading":"Powers and duties of board.","body":"In addition to the powers and duties provided in Section 40-1-70, the board may:\n(1) establish a time limit beyond which an initial complaint may not be considered;\n(2) order remedial action to be taken by an entity or individual found in violation of this chapter or a regulation promulgated pursuant to this chapter;\n(3) establish procedures for receiving and investigating initial complaints which protect the anonymity of the person filing the initial complaint in appropriate situations;\n(4) delegate the authority to the department to request any alarm business owner or registered employee to submit an updated criminal background check when there is reason to believe that a change in the individual's background record has occurred; and\n(5) by regulation, establish requirements for the implementation of this chapter as the board considers necessary.","path":["Title 40 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 79 South Carolina Alarm System Business Act"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t40c079.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:24:39Z","sha256":"7f0a79dd09ec123bf5028837f5373739a2e94c3e81aab0e0d6d3e152f9a9270a","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-79-60","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-40-79-80"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
