Code Ann. § 44-36-20","heading":"Advisory committee; membership; duties; prohibition against compensation.","body":"(A) The School of Public Health shall appoint an advisory committee to assist in maintaining this registry which must include, but is not limited to, a representative of:\n(1) South Carolina Alzheimer's Association chapters;\n(2) American Association of Retired Persons, South Carolina Chapters;\n(3) Clemson University;\n(4) Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities;\n(5) Department of Health and Environmental Control;\n(6) Office of Mental Health;\n(7) Department of Social Services;\n(8) Department of Health and Human Services;\n(9) Medical University of South Carolina;\n(10) National Association of Social Workers, South Carolina Chapter;\n(11) South Carolina Adult Day Care Association;\n(12) South Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging;\n(13) South Carolina Association of Council on Aging Directors;\n(14) South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging;\n(15) South Carolina Association of Residential Care Homes;\n(16) South Carolina Health Care Association;\n(17) South Carolina Home Care Association;\n(18) South Carolina Hospital Association;\n(19) South Carolina Medical Association;\n(20) South Carolina Nurses' Association;\n(21) Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Resource Coordination Center of the Department on Aging;\n(22) University of South Carolina;\n(23) South Carolina State University.\n(B) The advisory committee shall assist the registry in:\n(1) defining the population to be included in the registry including, but not limited to, establishing criteria for identifying patient subjects;\n(2) developing procedures and forms for collecting, recording, analyzing, and disseminating data;\n(3) developing protocols and procedures to be disseminated to and used by health care providers in identifying subjects for the registry;\n(4) developing procedures for approving research projects or participation in research projects.\n(C) Members of the advisory committee are not entitled to mileage, per diem, subsistence, or any other form of compensation.","path":["Title 44 - HEALTH","CHAPTER 36 Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders","ARTICLE 1 Alzheimer's Disease Registry"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t44c036.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:32:34Z","sha256":"0969f27bd1313e646e8fb22e9b11f6f930d426107a0fcdd719c1b77cff42cc26","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-44-36-10","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-44-36-30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
