Code Ann. § 44-38-370","heading":"Eligibility criteria for case management services.","body":"A person is eligible for case management services under this article when at the time of determining eligibility the person has a severe chronic limitation that:\n(1) is attributed to a physical impairment, including head injury, spinal cord injury, or both, or a similar disability, regardless of the age of onset but not associated with the process of a progressive degenerative illness or disease, dementia, or a neurological disorder related to aging;\n(2) is likely to continue indefinitely without intervention;\n(3) results in substantial functional limitations in at least two of these life activities:\n(a) self-care;\n(b) receptive and expressive communication;\n(c) learning;\n(d) mobility;\n(e) self-direction;\n(f) capacity for independent living;\n(g) economic self-sufficiency; and\n(4) reflects the person's need for a combination and sequence of special interdisciplinary or generic care or treatment or other services which are of lifelong or extended duration and are individually planned and coordinated.","path":["Title 44 - HEALTH","CHAPTER 38 Head and Spinal Cord Injuries","ARTICLE 3 Head and Spinal Cord Injury Service Delivery System"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t44c038.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:32:44Z","sha256":"3d24e7821beed123e0939d4f5b341b908d56fc131fea32a0b0b8a57be9d61b23","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-44-38-340","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-44-38-380"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
