Code Ann. § 44-38-40","heading":"Duties of council.","body":"In carrying out the purposes of this article the council shall:\n(1) determine and implement the most cost effective method:\n(a) to collect, record, analyze, and disseminate data on the incidence and causes of head and spinal cord injuries;\n(b) to gather such other data as needed from existing sources of the South Carolina Statewide Hospital Data System and the Trauma Registry of the Division of Emergency Medical Services;\n(2) provide information for initiation of case management services and preventive programs for head and spinal cord injured persons in this State;\n(3) develop and promote primary prevention programs related to preventing head and spinal cord injuries;\n(4) perform other duties and functions as determined by the council to be necessary for implementation of this article.","path":["Title 44 - HEALTH","CHAPTER 38 Head and Spinal Cord Injuries","ARTICLE 1 Head and Spinal Cord Injury Information System"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t44c038.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:32:44Z","sha256":"47436d57aff8aeda069efd8cdfff1785b1f0d4c3e3fe9c3c5bd6a576251ed0be","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-44-38-30","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-44-38-50"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
