Code Ann. § 44-53-830","heading":"Board of directors; membership; terms.","body":"(A) The DARE Fund is to be administered by a board of directors appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, and is composed of:\n(1) the Attorney General, ex officio, or his designee;\n(2) two county sheriffs, who shall serve ex officio;\n(3) two police chiefs;\n(4) two local law enforcement officers assigned to the DARE Program; and\n(5) two school principals.\nDirectors who are not elected officials serve by virtue of their position at the time of appointment.\n(B) Members shall serve terms of four years and until successors are appointed and qualify. A board member may be removed by the Governor in accordance with Section 1-3-240(B).
