Code Ann. § 44-55-1210","heading":"Counties may engage in collection and disposal of solid wastes; service charges.","body":"The governing body of any county may by ordinance or resolution provide that the county shall engage in the collection and disposal of solid waste. Such collection and disposal may be accomplished either by use of county employees and equipment or by contract with private agencies or municipalities of the county.
