Code Ann. § 50-23-470","heading":"Registration filing and records.","body":"(A) The department shall file each registration which is received by it, provided it is accompanied by the required fee and complies in all other respects with this article.\n(B) The department shall maintain a record of all registrations and each registration shall contain:\n(1) the date issued;\n(2) the name and address of the owner;\n(3) the registration number assigned to the outboard motor;\n(4) a description of the outboard motor including its make, model, horsepower, and manufacturer's serial number or, serial number assigned to the outboard motor by the department; and\n(5) any other data the department prescribes.\n(C) All records of the department relating to the registration of outboard motors are public records.","path":["Title 50 - FISH, GAME AND WATERCRAFT","CHAPTER 23 Watercraft and Outboard Motors","ARTICLE 3 Numbering"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t50c023.php","current_through":"2026 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-25T04:21:25Z","sha256":"73e796288cfba5123b3c80a82ac56c7acb7404a54c028c00af79600eeb3a7415","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-50-23-460","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-50-23-480"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
