Code Ann. § 50-5-2510","heading":"Suspension of saltwater privileges for accumulation of points.","body":"(A) The department must suspend for one year the related saltwater privileges and associated licenses and permits issued to a person or entity that has accumulated eighteen or more points under any point category. Privileges related to each point category are as follows:\n(1) commercial: commercial saltwater fishing license, equipment license, and bait dealer license, and\n(2) recreational: recreational saltwater fishing license, pier license, charter fishing vessel license, shrimp baiting license, and any other saltwater licenses utilized for recreational purposes.\n(B) Any suspension under this article begins the twenty-first day after the department mails written notice of the suspension and ends the same day the following year.","path":["Title 50 - FISH, GAME AND WATERCRAFT","CHAPTER 5 Marine Resources Act","ARTICLE 25 Point System for Violations of Marine Resources Laws"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t50c005.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:47:24Z","sha256":"d0ad5ba604281d06463de483bfed521b2f9bef5af8569400a7190a664b79da2b","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-50-5-2505","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-50-5-2515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
