Code Ann. § 56-1-3360","heading":"Misuse of card prohibited.","body":"It is unlawful for any person to:\n(1) alter a special identification card so as to provide false information on the card or to sell or issue a fictitious special identification card;\n(2) use a special identification card not issued to the person, an altered special identification card, or a special identification card containing false information to defraud another or violate the law;\n(3) to lend his special identification card to any person or knowingly permit its use by another.\nAny person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days.","path":["Title 56 - MOTOR VEHICLES","CHAPTER 1 Driver's License","ARTICLE 15 Identification Card"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t56c001.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:52:19Z","sha256":"276262ecbadd5ebc706cd24be917984d1f5953ec35e103bebad7e93b272a537c","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-56-1-3350","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-56-1-3370"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
