Code Ann. § 56-2-3060","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(A) A person is guilty of a misdemeanor who:\n(1) fraudulently uses or gives a false or fictitious name or address in an application required to be made under this article;\n(2) knowingly makes a false statement in an application; or\n(3) knowingly conceals a material fact in an application.\n(B) A person who operates or an owner who permits the operation of a vehicle registered and licensed under a violation of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than thirty days.","path":["Title 56 - MOTOR VEHICLES","CHAPTER 2 Specialized Vehicles","ARTICLE 3 Mopeds"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t56c002.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T07:52:24Z","sha256":"a3996ee200ec3949015d8fc0a3b222d2a86c95dd8b6a01ccaa4207d10dce8d29","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-56-2-3050","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-56-2-3070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
