Code Ann. § 59-150-270","heading":"False statements to commission, false entries in records.","body":"(A) A person must not knowingly or intentionally make a material false statement in an application for a license or proposal to conduct lottery activities or a material false entry in a book or record which is compiled or maintained or submitted to the board or its designee pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. A person who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than twenty-five thousand dollars or the dollar amount of the false entry or statement, whichever is greater, or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.\n(B) A person who is convicted of a violation of subsection (A) also must surrender his license immediately and is ineligible to be issued a license by the commission.","path":["Title 59 - EDUCATION","CHAPTER 150 South Carolina Education Lottery Act"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t59c150.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:06:04Z","sha256":"e9731575b9617dc9caf29a69bde1452ecbbaab3afca058da1a5d82899a97a49b","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-59-150-260","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-59-150-280"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
