Code Ann. § 59-36-30","heading":"Assistance of state advisory council.","body":"The state advisory council shall advise the Department of Education and the State Board of Education in developing a comprehensive service system for special education and related services to preschool children with disabilities. The assistance includes, but is not limited to:\n(1) a comprehensive method of identifying children with disabilities;\n(2) a public awareness program focusing on identification of preschool children with disabilities;\n(3) a coordinated system of personnel development for those who serve preschool children with disabilities;\n(4) formal interagency agreements which:\n(a) define the financial responsibility of each agency for providing special education and related services;\n(b) establish procedures for the transition of children served under Title 44, Chapter 7; and\n(c) contain procedures for resolving disputes.","path":["Title 59 - EDUCATION","CHAPTER 36 Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t59c036.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:00:24Z","sha256":"8042a13d6654759a5c94afa5ba18dcf29609cf038ca9e5e68e23303597215ba6","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-59-36-20","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-59-36-40"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
