Code Ann. § 59-63-30","heading":"Qualifications for attendance.","body":"Children within the ages prescribed by Section 59-63-20 shall be entitled to attend the public schools of any school district, without charge, only if qualified under the following provisions of this section:\n(a) Such child resides with its parent or legal guardian;\n(b) The parent or legal guardian, with whom the child resides, is a resident of such school district; or\n(c) The child owns real estate in the district having an assessed value of three hundred dollars or more; and\n(d) The child has maintained a satisfactory scholastic record in accordance with scholastic standards of achievement prescribed by the trustees pursuant to Section 59-19-90; and\n(e) The child has not been guilty of infraction of the rules of conduct promulgated by the trustees of such school district pursuant to Section 59-19-90.","path":["Title 59 - EDUCATION","CHAPTER 63 Pupils Generally","ARTICLE 1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t59c063.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:02:14Z","sha256":"b89e09f072100949619d2942316049bc3eb66fe91aa7728342b31ecef8f6bf2e","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-59-63-20","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-59-63-31"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
