Code Ann. § 61-6-4010","heading":"Unlawful manufacture, possession, or sales.","body":"(A) It is unlawful for a person to:\n(1) manufacture, store, keep, receive, have in possession, transport, ship, buy, sell, barter, exchange, or deliver alcoholic liquors, except liquors acquired in a lawful manner and except in accordance with the provisions of this title; or\n(2) accept, receive, or have in possession alcoholic liquors for unlawful use pursuant to the provisions of this title.\n(B) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be punished as follows:\n(1) for a first offense, by a fine of not less than six hundred dollars or imprisonment for six months;\n(2) for a second offense, by a fine of one thousand five hundred dollars or imprisonment for one year; and\n(3) for a third or subsequent offense, by a fine of three thousand dollars or imprisonment for two years.","path":["Title 61 - ALCOHOL AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES","CHAPTER 6 Alcoholic Beverage Control Act","ARTICLE 13 Offenses, Penalties, and Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t61c006.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:07:59Z","sha256":"3652f31cdbbc1236bd7444d75628bdcfff8883cf528373f9eab71cf609d2a7d4","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-61-6-4000","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-61-6-4020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
