Code Ann. § 62-2-1050","heading":"Disclosure of other digital assets of principal.","body":"Unless otherwise ordered by the court, directed by the principal, or provided by a power of attorney, a custodian shall disclose to an agent with specific authority over digital assets or general authority to act on behalf of a principal a catalogue of electronic communications sent or received by the principal and digital assets, other than the content of electronic communications, of the principal if the agent gives the custodian:\n(1) a written request for disclosure in physical or electronic form;\n(2) an original or a copy of the power of attorney that gives the agent specific authority over digital assets or general authority to act on behalf of the principal;\n(3) a certification by the agent, under penalty of perjury, that the power of attorney is in effect; and\n(4) if requested by the custodian:\n(a) a number, username, address, or other unique subscriber or account identifier assigned by the custodian to identify the principal's account; or\n(b) evidence linking the account to the principal.","path":["Title 62 - SOUTH CAROLINA PROBATE CODE","ARTICLE 2 Intestate Succession and Wills","Part 10 Uniform Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t62c002.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:08:29Z","sha256":"27fa16e87e70021b990b36d19292dc2395dc263c4f7d737e6e90acce50e1afb5","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-62-2-1045","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-62-2-1055"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
