Code Ann. § 62-7-110","heading":"Requirement of notice to others.","body":"(a) Whenever notice to qualified beneficiaries of a trust is required under this article, the trustee must also give notice to any other beneficiary who has sent the trustee a request for notice.\n(b) A charitable organization expressly designated to receive distributions under the terms of a charitable trust has the rights of a qualified beneficiary under this article if the charitable organization, on the date the charitable organization's qualification is being determined:\n(A) is a distributee or permissible distributee of trust income or principal;\n(B) would be a distributee or permissible distributee of trust income or principal upon the termination of the interests of other distributees or permissible distributees then receiving or eligible to receive distributions; or\n(C) would be a distributee or permissible distributee of trust income or principal if the trust terminated on that date.\n(c) A person appointed to enforce a trust created for the care of an animal or another noncharitable purpose as provided in Section 62-7-408 or 62-7-409 has the rights of a qualified beneficiary under this article.","path":["Title 62 - SOUTH CAROLINA PROBATE CODE","ARTICLE 7 South Carolina Trust Code","Part 1 General Provisions and Definitions"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t62c007.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:08:54Z","sha256":"0d826a40858e85c1ebb44daa7cf271f539c4798dd6756ce938421ed243a02edd","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-62-7-109","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-62-7-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
