Code Ann. § 63-11-2290","heading":"Toll-free public telephone number and electronic complaint submission form; agencies required to post number and web address.","body":"(A) The Department of Children's Advocacy shall establish a toll-free public telephone number and an electronic complaint submission form on the department's website for the purpose of receiving complaints relative to the provision of services to children by a state agency. The department shall transfer a complainant to the appropriate agency if the complainant's submission is related to abuse, neglect, or an open matter within another agency.\n(B) The following agencies must post the toll-free public telephone number and the web address of the department's electronic complaint submission form prominently in clear view of all employees and the public and in a conspicuous location on the agency's website:\n(1) Department of Social Services;\n(2) Office of Mental Health;\n(3) Department of Juvenile Justice;\n(4) Department of Health and Environmental Control;\n(5) Department of Health and Human Services;\n(6) Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities;\n(7) John de la Howe School;\n(8) School for the Deaf and the Blind; and\n(9) Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School.","path":["Title 63 - SOUTH CAROLINA CHILDREN'S CODE","CHAPTER 11 Children's Services Agencies","ARTICLE 22 Department of Children's Advocacy"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t63c011.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T08:09:34Z","sha256":"617f9c2b047c736e1d162859c2b30eb6d4d3672225d105219e216559c84dd3a5","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-63-11-2280","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-63-11-2295"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
