Code Ann. § 63-17-2940","heading":"Application to Resident of Foreign Country and Foreign Support Proceeding.","body":"(A) A tribunal of this State shall apply Parts I through VI and, as applicable, Part VII, to a support proceeding involving:\n(1) a foreign support order;\n(2) a foreign tribunal; or\n(3) an obligee, obligor, or child residing in a foreign country.\n(B) A tribunal of this State that is requested to recognize and enforce a support order on the basis of comity may apply the procedural and substantive provisions of Parts I through VI.\n(C) Part VII applies only to a support proceeding under the convention.
