Code Ann. § 7-15-670","heading":"Declaration by covered voter.","body":"(A) A covered voter may use the declaration accompanying a federal write-in absentee ballot as an application for a military-overseas ballot simultaneously with the submission of the federal write-in absentee ballot, if the declaration is received by the appropriate election official by seven o'clock p.m. on election day.\n(B) To receive the benefits of this article, a covered voter must inform the appropriate election official that the voter is a covered voter. Methods of informing the appropriate election official that a voter is a covered voter include:\n(1) the use of a federal postcard application or federal write-in absentee ballot;\n(2) the use of an overseas address on an approved voter registration application or ballot application; and\n(3) the inclusion on an approved voter registration application or ballot application of other information sufficient to identify the voter as a covered voter.","path":["Title 7 - ELECTIONS","CHAPTER 15 Absentee Registration and Voting","ARTICLE 9 South Carolina Uniform Military and Overseas Voters Act"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t07c015.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T06:27:04Z","sha256":"8a08eb3b1cc279649251a82c39d6e79fe5ee9beb5282cbfb82ab90180bcd1369","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-7-15-660","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-7-15-680"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
