Code Ann. § 8-13-1302","heading":"Maintenance of records of contributions, contributors, and expenditures.","body":"(A) A candidate, committee, or ballot measure committee must maintain and preserve an account of:\n(1) the total amount of contributions accepted by the candidate, committee, or ballot measure committee;\n(2) the name and address of each person making a contribution and the amount and date of receipt of each contribution;\n(3) the total amount of expenditures made by or on behalf of the candidate, committee, or ballot measure committee;\n(4) the name and address of each person to whom an expenditure is made including the date, amount, purpose, and beneficiary of the expenditure;\n(5) all receipted bills, canceled checks, or other proof of payment for each expenditure; and\n(6) the occupation of each person making a contribution.\n(B) The candidate, committee, or ballot measure committee must maintain and preserve all receipted bills and accounts required by this article for four years.","path":["Title 8 - PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES","CHAPTER 13 Ethics, Government Accountability, and Campaign Reform","ARTICLE 13 Campaign Practices"],"source_url":"https://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t08c013.php","current_through":"2025 Session of the General Assembly","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T06:28:14Z","sha256":"6fd14f0874d02d24e80f28a224ee9c07db8133539abd63ca9ca756b0d7522dfd","source_id":"us-sc","stale":false,"prev":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-8-13-1301","next":"us-sc/s.c.-code-ann.-8-13-1304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
