{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-1-57-2","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 1-57-2","heading":"Membership--Appointment--Term--Vacancy.","body":"The South Dakota-Ireland Trade Commission consists of:\n(1) Two members of the Senate, appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate;\n(2) Two members of the House of Representatives, appointed by the speaker of the House;\n(3) A representative of a private sector association headquartered in this state and focused on the promotion of international trade, appointed by the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council;\n(4) An officer of the Executive Branch, appointed by the Governor;\n(5) A representative of a South Dakota private industry, appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate; and\n(6) A representative of a South Dakota private industry, appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives.\nEach term begins upon appointment in an odd-numbered year and expires on December thirty-first of the following even-numbered year. If a position becomes vacant, the position must be filled, for the duration of the term, in the same manner as the original appointment.","path":["TITLE 1.
