{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-11-7-6","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 11-7-6","heading":"\"Redevelopment plan\" defined--Purposes of plan.","body":"Unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, for the purpose of this chapter, \"redevelopment plan\" means a plan for a redevelopment project area which plan provides an outline for the development or redevelopment of such area and is sufficiently complete:\n(1) To indicate its relationship to definite local objectives as to appropriate land uses and as to improved traffic, public transportation, public utilities, recreational and community facilities, and other public improvements; and\n(2) To indicate proposed land uses and building requirements in the redevelopment project.\nThe proposed land uses and building requirements shall be designed:\n(1) To promote the development of well planned, integrated neighborhoods;\n(2) To secure safety from fire, panic, and other dangers;\n(3) To promote health and the general welfare;\n(4) To provide adequate light and air;\n(5) To prevent the overcrowding of land;\n(6) To avoid undue concentration of population;\n(7) To avoid congestion in the streets;\n(8) To facilitate the provisions of adequate transportation, water, sewerage, and other public requirements;\n(9) To prevent the recurrence of slums or conditions of blight, and the spread of disease, crime, and juvenile delinquency; and\n(10) To permit the development of the resources and the improvement of the economic facilities of the county, municipality, and the state.","path":["TITLE 11.
