{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-16-19-33","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 16-19-33","heading":"Specific grounds for discipline of attorneys.","body":"The following shall similarly constitute misconduct and shall be grounds for discipline:\n(1) Conviction of a crime as set forth in § 16-19-36;\n(2) Disobedience to, or violation of an order of the court requiring the attorney to act or refrain from acting in a particular manner;\n(3) Violation of any of the duties of an attorney as prescribed in chapter 16-18;\n(4) Conviction of any of the offenses relating to attorneys set out in chapter 16-18;\n(5) Violation of the provisions of § 16-17-10;\n(6) Engaging or attempting to engage in the practice of law in this state, while not being an active member of the State Bar in good standing;\n(7) Violation of the prohibitions of § 16-18-29;\n(8) Violation of § 16-18-20.1 or 16-18-20.2;\n(9) Violation of §§ 16-18-34 to 16-18-34.5, inclusive, by a supervising attorney or by a legal assistant under the attorney's supervision.\n(10) Violation of the applicable provisions of the South Dakota Code of Judicial Conduct, appendix to chapter 16-2.","path":["TITLE 16.
