{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-16-1a-2","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 16-1A-2","heading":"Commission membership--Terms of office.","body":"There is hereby created a Commission on Judicial Qualifications which shall consist of seven members:\n(1) Two judges of the circuit court, elected by the judicial conference;\n(2) Three members of the bar practicing law in this state, no more than two of whom may be of the same political party, appointed by a majority vote of the state bar commissioners; and\n(3) Two citizens who are not of the same political party, appointed by the Governor.\nThe term of office for a commission member is four years.
