{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-24-5-3","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 24-5-3","heading":"Clothing, money, and transportation on discharge.","body":"Upon discharge of an inmate from a correctional facility, whether by parole, suspended sentence, or final discharge, a correctional facility official must provide the inmate with the following, if not already provided:\n(1) Suitable clothing;\n(2) A sum of money to be determined by the secretary of corrections; and\n(3) Transportation to one of the following locations:\n(a) The county where the inmate resided at the time of the offense that resulted in imprisonment;\n(b) The county where the inmate received sentence; or\n(c) A location equivalent in distance to either subsection (a) or (b), whichever is lesser in mileage.","path":["TITLE 24.
